How it works
pull up a stool, friend!
01 — JOIN TODAY ⚡️
Reserve your spot today! Next, you'll receive a receipt email. After that, you'll receive an official PAINT WEEK instructions email by September 25th with community access and a full Supply List just for Paint Week.
02 — gather your supplies 🎨
Artists need supplies! The best supplies are the supplies you already have. No one is worried if you have the EXACT same Kuretake Gold Ink. But if you are using my provided Paint Week supply list, have it all on hand by Oct 19th!
03 — come as you are 🤍
Show up at 1PM CST in our community access group each day. We'll meet online for about an hour each class. I'll talk you through every decision I make and guide you along the way as you create your paintings.
MeetAmanda
Hello, friend! I'm Amanda Sudimack and I'm so happy you're here. I've spent nearly 30 years making a life in the arts and growing a thriving professional art career.
After art school, I built an award-winning studio where I created thousands of commissions for collectors, brands, celebrities, designers and private clients all over the world.
Somewhere between creating art for clients, raising a family, caring for people I love and all the other beautiful and hard parts of being human, I realized how much I missed making art just for me.
So I started making room for it again.
The more art I made, the more myself I felt. That's a big part of why I teach now.
My goal as a teacher is to help you develop skills, build confidence in your creativity, and give yourself permission to make art that feels like you.
My Paint Week is five glorious you-time days to practice just that in a fun, supportive environment. I can't wait to see what you create.
x Amanda
That feeling of wanting to create and make beautiful things? You deserve the time to follow it.
FAQ
WHERE DO WE MEET ONLINE?
Every class will take place inside a private, student-only Paint Week group on Facebook. Not on Facebook? No worries—you will still be able to access the video replays through October 30th using a link to a hosted private community.
WHAT IF I CAN'T PAINT LIVE?
No problem. Every class is recorded and available for replay through October 30. Paint with us live when you can. Catch up when you can't. Easy peasy.
I'M A BEGINNER. CAN I REALLY DO THIS?
Yes you can! I'll walk you through what we're doing, show you how I approach each painting and explain why I'm making the choices I'm making. You'll also have reference materials and traceable outlines when they're helpful. You don't need years of experience. You just need to start.
I'VE BEEN PAINTING FOR YEARS. WILL THIS BE TOO BASIC?
Nope. We're using simple starting points, not making simplistic art. Line, shape, value, color, pattern and composition are things artists work with throughout their entire creative lives. Bring what you already know. Then take the ideas somewhere I didn't. I'd love that!
WHY IS THIS ONLY $11?
I love odd numbers (I even teach about odd numbers in composition). But more importantly, I know how easy it is to put making art at the bottom of our list. I want Paint Week to be an easy YES. I keep the barrier as low as possible so you have five days to make time for yourself, learn new ways of seeing, and make art. Come paint with me.
DO MY PAINTINGS HAVE TO LOOK LIKE YOURS?
Absolutely not! I'll give you a path to follow, demonstrate the techniques and explain the decisions I'm making. Then I want you to make some decisions too. Your painting doesn't have to look like mine to be successful. It should look like your art!
WHAT IF I DON'T FINISH ALL FOUR PAINTINGS?
The first rule of Paint Week is there are no rules! Finish them later on your time and do not worry one bit.
WHAT KIND OF SUPPLIES DO I NEED?
After you register, I'll share a complete Supply List including watercolors, gouache, paper and some other fun supplies. I've designed all the lessons to use the same simple materials to keep the list and palette easy to follow. But I always say—THE BEST SUPPLIES ARE THE ONES YOU HAVE! No one is going to check to make sure you used Opera Pink instead of Brilliant Pink.

what supplies do I need?
The supplies
I'm going to say it again because I mean it: The best art supplies are the ones you already have!
If you want to paint along with the exact supplies and color recipes I share in Paint Week, I've curated a detailed Supply List. I've designed everything from the paintings to palette to be mindful of cost, waste and simplicity.
We will use the following materials but they are ALL OPTIONAL:
Watercolor Set • 5-6 Gouache Tubes • 3-4 Acrylic Inks • Brush Set • Gold Ink • Dip Pen • Artist Tape • Watercolor Paper Block • Sketchbook • Tracing Paper • Water

Seriously—it's only $11
It's less than a trip to starbucks® (with my teen at least)
